“Green Co undertook a one day audit of the site, quickly establishing the situation and proposing a raft of remedies.”
We were approached by a specialist chemical company operating from a 12-acre Hampshire-based plant with strict controls on safety and a variety of specialist risks to review their internal network. Intermittent problems where causing issues with business operations and ageing hardware stood to pose a risk to plant safety.
Green Co undertook a one day audit of the site, quickly establishing the situation and proposing a raft of remedies.
While much of the hardware on site was dated, Green Co concluded that with corrected configuration and monitoring redeployment using OSPF instead of STP they would gain capacity and reliability without large capital investment.
Green Co also identified hardware which was deployed inappropriately for the hardware’s environmental design limits and which was also not meeting intrinsic safety standards.
Our team proposed a migration plan with minimal operational impact to the customer and structured the project to undertake the physical changes required to reduce risk and site visits rather than a conventional project timeline. This meant the risk window and changes happened passivley and quickly for the customer.
