After graduating from Portsmouth Polytechnic, Peter started his career working for GEC Marconi as an electronic engineer. He co-founded a computer shop in the early 1980s, followed by regional computer business Weserve. Inspired by the growth of the internet, he sold Weserve and set up NewNet, initially as a dialup ISP. As the company expanded, web hosting, colocation, leased lines and eventually ADSL were added to the range of services. ServerHouse, the first public data centre in Hampshire, was launched in 2001. Nine years later, Peter sold his interest in NewNet to focus on growing ServerHouse and creating Green Co as an innovative, green technology provider.
