It was great to see so many new faces at our data centre yesterday when we hosted the Hampshire Chamber Pure Networking event.
We love how proactive and creative the Chamber has been about holding these events in interesting locations which give an insight into different aspects of Hampshire’s thriving business community. We’re very proud of the world-class, green facilities of our data centre so we were delighted to have an opportunity to show off every aspect, from the convenience of the location right down to high security cooled rack space.
However, with over 60 people attending the event from across Hampshire, we didn’t rely on the appeal of our technology to ensure the event was a success. We love our green data centre but we understand that technology isn’t for everyone – that’s why people outsource to us, after all – and that’s why we booked the excellent local musician Roy Peplow to provide some entertainment and welcome people at the door.
Hampshire is filled with businesses that are innovative, cutting edge and creative and so we feel that the balance between music and technology worked quite well and helped to build a relaxed atmosphere. There was plenty of chat early on, and the speed networking sessions even inspired some people to present their one-minute pitch to the whole group. It was great to speak to so many other businesses from across Hampshire who came out despite the lure of the sunshine for what feels like a never-ending heatwave.
We’d like to thank everyone who came, and particularly thank the wonderful Coral Benham and Tom Colbeck for all their support in getting the event together. If the event piqued your interest, feel free to drop us a line and we can organise a full tour of the facilities. Alternatively, we look forward to seeing you at a future Hampshire Chamber event.
