Conducting flexible data storage
Green Co not only fit the bill in terms of locality, but also impressed the team with their professional customer service
We were recently approached by a local leading semiconductor company to help with their colocation needs. Previously the firm had used a data centre based in Slough which meant access was sporadic and time-consuming so it was important that their future facility was nearby to ensure that they could visit as often as required.
Geography wasn’t the only key factor, connectivity was a critical element for their colocation needs. As an engineering company with over 50 engineers, the firm is entirely dependent on reliable internet connectivity in order to work.
Having looked at a number of data centres, the firm chose Green Co to host their colocated servers. Green Co not only fit the bill in terms of locality, but also impressed the team with their professional customer service, competitive pricing and flexible service. Up until recently the firm had relied upon the support from their parent company for their information technology management, but having been sold off, they valued the experience and guidance that Green Co could provide. Green Co currently stores two racks of collocated servers for the firm, with a third rack on reserve, to ensure there is space for expansion. This flexibility means that the firm can scale up its colocation requirements on a project basis, a major plus point for many businesses in this industry.
